Something happens to your faith when you witness miracles. It propels you into an extreme faith level.
That’s what happened to me. I wasn’t even aware of what I didn’t know until I started walking in a whole different level of faith and expectation.
A friend of mine, Evangelist John Wilkinson, has always said, “You can’t argue with a miracle.”
I now know just how true that is. Once you see a miracle happen in front of you, you can’t unsee it. Witnessing that very miracle before your eyes has the ability to change your life and your destiny.
The Life Changing Power of Witnessing a Miracle
I was born and raised in a Christian family and went to church my whole life. I loved Jesus and wanted to see people give their lives to Him, to make heaven their home for eternity. But I didn’t really think much about miracles, signs, and wonder.
Miracles seemed to be a thing that we accepted as being in the past. I would ponder, sometimes, if Jesus was the same yesterday and forever; why we didn’t see these miracles happen today.
Isaiah 53:5 says, “by His stripes we are healed.”
I would hear the pastor quote that on communion Sunday, but I suppose I was not really convinced to believe in what he was saying. I grew up believing what the bible says about healing, but I was just not seeing a lot of miracles in my immediate circle.
Fast forward to today, and after experiencing my own miracle (which I talk about in my book) and also my daughter’s miracle—I for sure cannot be shifted on this topic.
Like I said earlier, you cannot argue with a miracle! They have a way of totally changing your life when they land in your own backyard. After experiencing my own miracles, it was easier to pray for and believe in miracles to happen for others.
My faith increased and became extreme; it could be said I had a real gift of faith.
When you experience miracles from heaven in your own life, your testimony is burning inside of you to share what God has done for you. You want it to overspill over on to everyone you meet so they can experience that same pivotal shift in their life, and be able to give their own testimony of what God has miraculously done for them.
Romans 10:17 reminds us, “faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.” Sharing firsthand experiences with miracles is a way to spark belief and open hearts to the impossible.
Responding to God’s Nudge
Today, I know that miracles still happen all around us.
Recently, on Thanksgiving weekend, the Holy Spirit dropped a name in my heart. I knew that I needed to reach out to this person. (One thing I have learned in the last 10 years is that when that happens, I need to act on it. And then, God always surprises me with what He will do!)
I hadn’t talked to this person for a while, but had her phone number and was able to text her to ask her how she was doing. I told her that I was thinking about her and praying all was well.
Much to my surprise, she quickly responded back, asking “How did you know I was needing prayer? God must have really laid me on your heart.”
She proceeded to express to me that she had been really struggling with a lot of pain after a skin cancer diagnosis. That for the last three months, her face felt like it was on fire, burning. She said she was getting so discouraged, she was ready to give up.
She had cried out and asked the Lord, “Why?”
She told me that today was her breaking point… and then she got my text message.
I was moved and touched that this is always how God works; I’m amazed in our obedience, how He can really use us.
I responded to my friend with a prayer that God would touch her and turn her situation around. I prayed for no more pain, for no more burning on her face, in Jesus’ name. I prayed for her peace and for her to rest well.
It was simple and quick, but heartfelt. My family was celebrating our own Thanksgiving, but I didn’t want to forget to message her when God put it on my heart.
Afterward, we went on about our holiday weekend and I didn’t think more about it.
A Testimony of Healing
A couple of days later, this lady reached out to me and asked if I could call her landline when I had a chance.
To be honest, I was praying that it was good news.
After an appointment I returned her call before going home. I had her on speaker phone as I was driving in the car. After we greeted each other, she quickly blurted out… “Connie, do you know you have the gift of healing?”
I laughed and said, “Well I know I have the gift of faith.”
She proceeded to tell me that after I had reached out to her and prayed with her, she had a miraculous shift. The next day when she woke up, she said all the pain and burning was gone from her face she had been experiencing for three months, non stop.
Praise the Lord!
Her testimony reminded me of the power of simple obedience and faith. Miracles like these reaffirm the truth found in Scripture. Mark 11:24 says, “Whatever you desire when you pray, believe that you receive it, and you shall have it.”
Faith Can Radically Transform a Life
When miracles touch your life, they don’t just create moments of awe—they alter your entire perspective. They remind us that “everything is possible for one who believes.” (Mark 9:23).
These experiences fuel a faith so deep and extreme that it becomes impossible to return to a life of doubt.
If you’ve experienced a miracle, share it. Your testimony could stir someone else’s faith and open them up to what God wants to do in their life. If you’re longing for the miraculous, lean into Scripture and ask God to help your unbelief.
Mark 9:4: “Lord I believe, help my unbelief.”
Seek, believe, and watch as He brings His promises to life! And always remember—you can’t argue with a miracle.
